ABILENE, TX, February 25, 2013: Lauren Engineers was recently awarded the 2012 National Safety Excellence Award from ABC. As one of only 14 NSEA winners in the country, Lauren joins a select group of organizations whose achievements in construction safety are at the highest level in the industry.
Only previous Diamond and Platinum Safety Award winners are eligible to compete for NSEA. Lauren’s eligibility came with winning the Diamond Award last year, and after a lengthy application and review process, Lauren was chosen as an NSEA winner for organizations that completed 500,000 to 1,000,000 manhours of work in 2011.
Lauren has been recognized by ABC several times in recent years for their outstanding commitment to safety. The company received the STEP Platinum Award in 2010, a Diamond STEP Award in 2011 and 2012, and the National Safety Excellence Merit Award in 2011.
Todd Meek, Lauren’s Corporate Safety Director who was also recently named Chairman of the Safety Board for ABC, was on hand to accept the award on behalf of Lauren at the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, ceremony on February 20. “I am extremely honored and proud of our company for the work and devotion behind this award. Earning this distinction was only possible because of Lauren’s outstanding employees and their unwavering commitment to putting safety first,” said Mr. Meek.
