ABILENE, TX, FEBRUARY 8, 2013: Five major modules are being prepared by Lauren Engineers &
Constructors (Lauren) as part of a water treatment facility within a SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drain)
plant in Northern Alberta. The contract for the process modules was awarded to Lauren by GE Power &
Water, Water & Process Technologies last summer. The preparation of the modules is nearing
completion at Lauren’s Bynum, Montana fabrication facility.

These modules will be pre-assembled to the greatest extent possible, minimizing the craft manhours
required on site, which is of particular importance due to the difficult working environment in Northern
Alberta. The modules will be integrated with GE’s process technology, allowing produced water to be
treated and reused at the SAGD facility. The Lauren-fabricated modules will be transported to the jobsite
upon completion early this year.

This project is one of several fabrication projects that Lauren will execute for GE in 2013.
