ABILENE, TX, November 29, 2012: Todd Meek, Corporate Safety Director at Lauren Engineers and Constructors, has been named Chairman of the National Environment, Health & Safety Committee for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) for 2013.

Mr. Meek will fulfill several duties in his role as Chairman, including oversight of committee meetings, representing the Safety Committee at ABC Executive meetings, and presenting committee findings to public officials, including the Secretary of Labor and OSHA representatives. He will establish subcommittees and work to address issues affecting ABC members.

Mr. Meek will also be present at national ABC events, including the Excellence in Construction Ceremony, where he will coordinate the National Safety Excellence Awards presentation. He will be the featured speaker at ABC’s Atlanta meeting in January.

Lauren has been recognized by ABC several times in recent years for their impressive safety record. The company received the STEP Platinum Award in 2010, a Diamond STEP Award in 2011 and 2012, and the National Safety Excellence Merit Award in 2011.
