ABILENE, TX, October 17, 2012: As a leader in CSP design and installation, Lauren recently delivered a presentation on various applications of CSP technology in the U.S. David McWright, Project Engineer for Lauren Engineers & Constructors, Inc., delivered the presentation at the RMEL Renewable Planning and Operations Conference, held October 16th in Denver, Colorado.

Mr. McWright’s presentation, titled “Applications of Concentrated Solar Thermal Technology in the U.S.,” covered the design features of common CSP technologies, how the equipment works differently in ‘traditional’ Rankine cycle plants versus ‘hybrid’ plants, and how renewable energy plants affect the power grid at large.

Mr. McWright used Lauren’s EPC experience on the Martin Solar Project, Nevada Solar One, and the Godawari Solar Project in India to help explain these principles. He has served as Project Engineer on all of these projects.

With over 20 years of experience in the Power industry and 7 years of experience in solar power, Mr. McWright has extensive knowledge within the renewables industry. His goal for this session was to share ideas and spark discussion among utility & transmission power producers and the EPC firms that serve them.
