Mr. McWright’s presentation, titled “Applications of Concentrated Solar Thermal Technology in the U.S.,” covered the design features of common CSP technologies, how the equipment works differently in ‘traditional’ Rankine cycle plants versus ‘hybrid’ plants, and how renewable energy plants affect the power grid at large.
Mr. McWright used Lauren’s EPC experience on the Martin Solar Project, Nevada Solar One, and the Godawari Solar Project in India to help explain these principles. He has served as Project Engineer on all of these projects.
With over 20 years of experience in the Power industry and 7 years of experience in solar power, Mr. McWright has extensive knowledge within the renewables industry.
