ABILENE, TX, JULY 9, 2012: Lauren Engineers & Constructors recently received a contract from BAE
Systems to perform construction services for a plant modernization project located at the BAE-operated
Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN.
The project, titled “A2B,” will involve building a new facility to produce the acetic acid and acetic
Anhydride and will consolidate production from Area A off Wilcox Drive into the main Holston plant site at
Area B. The project marks the largest construction effort at the plant since the original facility was built
during WWII.
Construction mobilization is underway and the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of
September 2013.
