In April of 2010, for the first time in company history, Lauren Engineers & Constructors achieved 5 million safe work hours without a lost-time incident.
Lauren recognizes that this tremendous milestone is a direct result of our employees diligence to live and work in a safety embracing culture,” Todd Meek, Corporate Safety Director explained. “This enormous accomplishment exemplifies how Lauren is continuously pushing safety to a new level of excellence.
This milestone was achieved with the combined efforts of over 1,500 personnel across multiple offices and jobsites. This employee-driven effort began with orientation, continued through with site and task specific testing, training, enforcement and recognition of achievement. Methods are regularly reviewed and improved to better all safety approaches and procedures.
“This new record is simply the beginning,” Meek said. “By constantly improving and continuously enhancing our safety program, the employees of Lauren, the customers of Lauren are in good hands: our own.”
Lauren would like to thank our employees, subcontractors and customers for being part of this honor.
